MAGIC LESSONS WITH ALONZO:

A good magician does not just 'do tricks'. If you want to be a good magician, you must be adept at getting your audience to believe what they would not willingly believe, namely, the impossible! And everyone has an intellectual resistance to believing in the impossible, while at the same time having an emotional desire to believe in the impossible. After all, people who say they don't believe in ghosts are still afraid of them! This is what makes it possible for magicians to make their audiences believe in magic.

For those of you who wish to learn the art and craft of making your audience believe the impossible, Alonzo offers individual lessons. He will guide you through the fundamentals of sleight of hand, techniques of misdirection, performance and presentation styles including the development of routines, and the art of using basic facts of human psychology to induce your audience to see what you want them to see, not see what you do not want them to see, and make them receptive to the magical story that gives your performance the sparkle and mystery it must have.

You will learn, at different stages of your progress, card and coin manipulation, the development of manual dexterity, the use of everyday objects to make wondrous magic, the employment of larger props for stage and parlor effects, and the unique methods of the mentalist and mind reader.
Magic is a discipline, a craft and an art. As such, it is for serious students who are willing to invest time in the practice required to make yourself into a skilled and captivating magician. Alonzo will draw upon his forty years of experience as a teacher to help you to identify and build upon your strengths, to identify and overcome your weaknesses -and we all have both- and to become a magician who can perform with full confidence in front of just about any kind of audience.
